How to become a volunteer
Want to be part of the world’s largest 24hr mountain bike race? Why not become a volunteer. Volunteers are vital in creating an event that is to be remembered. With your help this year’s Scott 24hr will be the best yet and Stromlo Forest Park, on the 8th and 9th of October, will be the place to experience it.
Your support will not only help to deliver successful event but will help to create a memorable and enjoyable experience for all riders.

What do I have to do?
Volunteers are needed to fill a variety of roles for the weeks prior to the event, the days of the event and the week following.
No experience is needed but if you have special skills we would like to know about them! Similarly, if you have some physical factors which would stop you being able to walk about on the mountain, please let us know that too. Jobs will be a range of event management tasks including event installation, controlling access to the world solo pit row, administration, merchandise sales, and other general duties.

A volunteer’s tent and rest area where you can kick back, have a feed or drink and chat to the many other volunteers.
Volunteers t-shirt.
Pre-prepared race pack including all the information about the race and event.
The chance to meet other mountain bike enthusiasts who also enjoy being part of this great sport.
An invite to the special post-event Volunteers thank-you function, or you can choose to be part of an afternoon’s skill session run by some of Canberra’s (and Australia’s) best mountain bikers. The skills session is transferable to another person.
